Ex-Hells Angel named in Nova Scotia slaying

Ex-Hells Angel named in Nova Scotia slaying: "Jeffrey Albert Lynds, 42, of Nova Scotia. He, too, is a former Hells Angel, and he is in custody in Montreal while he faces two first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of two South Shore men. The men were fatally shot in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in January.
The victims, Kirk Murray, 47, and Anthony Onesi, 51, were shot as they sat inside a car parked outside the restaurant on St. Jacques St. W.
Police sources have said the double slaying probably involved a drug deal gone bad.
On Thursday, as the RCMP were beginning their search of a wooded area near Truro, Gerald Leslie MacCabe, 43, was charged in Truro provincial court with being an accessory after the fact to murder in the death of Randy Mersereau, 48, a former member of the Hells Angels' Nova Scotia chapter who was last seen alive on Oct. 31, 1999. The charge against MacCabe identifies Lynds as the person who killed Mersereau."

Arrests in Methamphetamine operation | infonews.co.nz New Zealand's local news community

Arrests in Methamphetamine operation infonews.co.nz New Zealand's local news community: "Seven people will be appearing in court in Napier and Auckland today after police targeted a group of Hawke's Bay methamphetamine dealers with links to the Hells Angels gang in Auckland.

Napier Area Commander Inspector Kevin Kalff said the arrests were the result of an intensive two-month operation focussing on the distribution and selling of methamphetamine in Hawke's Bay. Police allege the drug dealers arrested today have been buying large quantities of P from the Hells Angels in Auckland and selling it from a suburban house in Napier. The dealers were also allegedly distributing the drug to other dealers in the city for on-selling.

Six people will be appearing in the Napier District Court today, while one person will be appearing in the Manukau District Court.

Police today searched seven houses in Napier while Auckland police searched the Hells Angels headquarters in Mt Eden and a South Auckland house. One man was arrested there on charges of supplying methamphetamine.

Mr Kalff said the operation revealed large quantities of the drug were being sold in the local community by dealers. Today's arrests would severely disrupt the flow of P coming into the Hawke's Bay region."

ALEXANDRIA, Va. Beach motorcycle gang member sent to prison for gun sale..

Bikers Of America, Know Your Rights!: Virginia - ALEXANDRIA, Va. Beach motorcycle gang member sent to prison for gun sale..: "former Navy SEAL and onetime president of the Mongols motorcycle gang’s Virginia Beach chapter was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison for selling a machine gun he brought back from Iraq.
Justin “Itchy” Wilson, 30, also will serve three years of probation. He pleaded guilty in Alexandria federal court to illegally possessing and transferring a machine gun.
The government, according to court papers, sought a 2½-year sentence citing evidence of a plot to commit insurance fraud as well as Wilson’s affiliation with “a dangerous gang.” The government also alleged that Wilson obtained the weapon from an Iraqi insurgent he had shot dead. Wilson denied that.
“A lengthy period of incarceration will also send an important message that individuals who seek to sell war trophy weapons in the United States will be punished,” a federal prosecutor wrote to the judge."

The threat of dictatorship in Spain

The threat of dictatorship in Spain: "The decision by the Spanish government to use the army to seize airport control towers so as to defeat a wildcat strike by air traffic controllers is a warning to the entire working class.
The government of Prime Minister José Luis Zapatero of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) has handed broad powers to the military by imposing a “state of alert,” nullifying basic democratic rights. The action exposes the thoroughly rightwing character of this “socialist” government. In its determination to impose the will of the financial aristocracy, it is taking measures that have not been seen since the end of the fascist regime of General Franco in 1975."
